In Hinduism, Varahi is a goddess who is considered a fierce manifestation of the divine feminine energy or Shakti. She is often depicted as a boar-headed deity and is associated with strength, protection, courage, and victory.
Varahi is depicted as standing or seated on a lotus pitha (pedestal) or on her vahana (a buffalo) or on its head, or on a boar, the serpent Shesha, a lion, or on Garuda (the eagle-man vahana of Vishnu). She carries a variety of weapons because she is the commander-in-chief of Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari's army. Varahi wields a conch, a discus, a staff, a noose, a mace, a sword, a shield, and a goad.
